Panel Moderator Joshua Berger is the Governor’s Maritime Sector Lead for the State of Washington. Joshua works as the liaison between maritime industry stakeholders, the Governor’s office, legislature and state agencies. As Sector Lead he focuses on economic development, building public/private partnerships, and ensuring a 21st century workforce. In his role, Joshua leads the development of Washington State’s Strategy for the Blue Economy for a sustainable, decarbonized maritime industry alongside the development of a Maritime Innovation Center. He founded Washington Maritime Blue, an independent cluster organization to implement the plan and serves as the Board Chair.
Panelist Allan Grant is Executive Vice-President at LAVLE. He is an experienced clean energy executive. In a 30-plus career at BC Hydro in Vancouver, Canada, he worked in a variety of roles from Resource Planner to the Manager of the Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Program. He has over 8 years’ experience with Corvus Energy as VP Business Development and VP Global Customer Service.
Panelist Olivier Cadet is President, Kongsberg Maritime Inc. and SVP Global Operations – Americas. Prior to this role, Olivier was Executive Vice President of Products & Services, based in Norway. During this time, Olivier was responsible for the teams managing Kongsberg Maritime’s products portfolio aligned with market demands and future trends, such as autonomous operations and digital performance. Olivier was responsible for Kongsberg Maritime’s strategic initiative around Information Management System and Smart Data.
Panelist Cosmo King is the CEO and co-founder of Seattle based ioCurrents, a real-time predictive analytics platform for the maritime industry. With more than 20 years’ experience in the tech industry, Cosmo King has worked at various tech companies, honing his expertise on system automation for storage and cloud products. Before launching ioCurrents, he was part of the original engineering team at Isilon Systems as they grew from startup to a global storage industry leader acquired by EMC. Cosmo is an industry expert in cloud computing, distributed systems, data storage, and security. He was inspired to start ioCurrents after working with geospatial IoT and sensor data and seeing the benefits that edge analysis technology could provide to the maritime industry.REGISTRATION is Recommended.
