NW Innovation Resource Center hosted a talk about Blockchain Basics on May 22, 2018. Blockchain technology is poised to be the most important business innovation since the Internet. This talk will show how the technology is a powerful disruptor whose core technology can be used by any industry. Adoption of blockchain technology is important for businesses to understand for its potential to be the key to continued growth in NW Washington.
In this talk Lawrence Lerner, CEO of Pithia will explore the basics of blockchain, applications of the technology and show how blockchain is set to disrupt traditional industries and what questions should you ask? From startups to established businesses, or anyone curious about the next industrial revolution, this series will focus on how blockchain technology will influence business growth in NW Washington. The next in the series will focus on how blockchain applies to the industries of food and agriculture, advanced manufacturing, and healthcare.
The NWIRC is a non-profit organization that works with entrepreneurs in the NW Region of Washington to develop their ideas into new startup businesses. NWIRC works with entrepreneurs and businesses to build business strategy and identifies the resources, tools and community support needed for long-term success.
