Local entrepreneur and inventor, Lara Merriam-Smith, will share her journey in taking a product to market and how that inspired the NWIRC’s new Build It NOW Program. Learn how it will jump start your innovative ideas and put you on the Highway to Revenue in SIX sessions.
Chris McKnight, CMO at Whidbey Telecom, will discuss the company’s future vision for developing the information technology economy on Whidbey Island and the role of high speed internet as a critical resource for innovators to build long term successful businesses.

The NWIRC Build It NOW! Program is six session long, where inventors and innovators will go from idea to prototype. You’ll also learn how to thoroughly vet your idea, understand how to do market research, gain valuable feedback from your potential customers and build multiple prototypes so that you are manufacture or licensing ready.
