OUR FRAMEWORK FOR SUCCESS
The NWIRC Accelerator Program provides that support system along with a network of local experts with experience and a passion for sharing their knowledge. Companies participating in the Accelerator Program are committed to scaling their company by working with top business talent in the region. The program consists of three distinct phases of company development.
ACCELERATION PHASES
At the core of the Accelerator Program is the NWIRC staff. It is their role to provide oversight and insure that each Mentor Team is helping their entrepreneur grow their company and maintain forward momentum. They also provide additional resources and support as necessary.

Phase 1: Product Planning and Validation (approximately 3 months)
- Product identification and business plan development
- Product/business scope and hurdles are identified
- Timeline, budget and pro formas are created
- Pitch developed

Phase II: Go-To-Market Planning (approximately 3 months)
- Prototype is proven and production plans are developed
- Communications, marketing plan and revenue targets identified
- Funding sources and first clients identified
- Pitch, business plan and SWOT refined
- Continue to build leadership team

Phase III: Executing and Scaling (approximately 9-12 months)
- Cost structure identified; pro formas updated
- Prototype/model moves into production
- Project Management/Lean process established
- Prepare and pitch investors as needed
- Focus on sales
- Determine long-term guidance structure
NETWORKING AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT
- Working groups focusing on Active Aging and Renewable Resource Technologies
- Opportunities to network with other entrepreneurs who are facing similar business challenges
- Guidance is available from experienced professionals who have started businesses and have navigated their way to profitability
LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOCUSING ON ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS
The NWIRC works closely with our educational partners to make sure that entrepreneurial curriculum is available from numerous sources.
FUNDING
